By engaging EvoSec Pty Ltd for any services or using this website, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. Please read them carefully. These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia.

1. About EvoSec

EvoSec Pty Ltd (ABN 75 685 003 338) is a licensed electronic security installer operating under Victorian Security Licence Z76-066-60S. We provide CCTV installation, alarm systems, access control, intercom systems, duress systems, security monitoring and maintenance services across Melbourne and Victoria.

These terms apply to all services provided by EvoSec Pty Ltd and your use of our website at evosec.au.

2. Quotations & Acceptance

All quotations provided by EvoSec are valid for 30 days from the date of issue unless otherwise stated. Quotations are based on information provided at the time of the site assessment and may be subject to change if additional work is required upon commencement.

A quotation does not constitute a binding contract. A contract is formed when:

  • You provide written or verbal acceptance of our quotation, and
  • EvoSec confirms acceptance and schedules the works

EvoSec reserves the right to withdraw or amend a quotation prior to acceptance.

3. Pricing & Payment

All prices quoted are in Australian Dollars (AUD) and inclusive of GST unless otherwise stated.

Our standard payment terms are:

  • Residential installations: Full payment on completion of works
  • Commercial installations: 50% deposit on acceptance, balance on completion
  • Ongoing maintenance or monitoring services: Monthly or as agreed in writing

Invoices are payable within 14 days of the invoice date unless otherwise agreed. Late payments may incur interest at 2% per month on the outstanding balance.

EvoSec accepts payment by bank transfer, credit card and cash. A surcharge may apply to credit card payments.

4. Scope of Works

EvoSec will perform the installation works as described in the accepted quotation. Any additional works requested beyond the original scope will be quoted and agreed in writing before proceeding.

The client is responsible for ensuring:

  • Safe and unobstructed access to the property on the agreed installation date
  • Adequate power supply at installation locations where required
  • Any necessary approvals, permits or strata consents prior to works commencing
  • That all relevant stakeholders (tenants, building managers) are informed of the works

5. Warranty

EvoSec provides the following warranties on our installation works:

  • Labour warranty: 12 months on all installation workmanship from the date of completion
  • Equipment warranty: As provided by the manufacturer — typically 12 to 36 months depending on the product and brand

Warranties do not cover:

  • Damage caused by misuse, tampering, power surges or acts of nature
  • Faults caused by third-party modifications to the system
  • Normal wear and tear
  • Consumables such as batteries

To make a warranty claim, contact us at info@evosec.au with your invoice details and a description of the fault.

6. Cancellations & Rescheduling

We understand that circumstances change. Our cancellation policy is as follows:

  • More than 48 hours notice: No cancellation fee — full deposit refunded if applicable
  • 24–48 hours notice: 25% cancellation fee of the quoted price
  • Less than 24 hours notice: 50% cancellation fee of the quoted price
  • No show / no access on installation day: Full call-out fee applies

To reschedule, please contact us as early as possible at 0414 991 957 or info@evosec.au.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Australian law, EvoSec's liability for any claim arising from our services is limited to the value of the works performed.

EvoSec is not liable for:

  • Indirect, consequential or economic loss arising from a security incident at your property
  • Loss or damage caused by system failure due to power outages, network interruptions or third-party equipment
  • Any breach of security that occurs despite a properly functioning system
  • Damage to property that could not reasonably be foreseen during installation

Nothing in these terms excludes rights under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot be excluded by agreement.

8. Security Monitoring Services

Where EvoSec arranges connection to a third-party monitoring centre, the monitoring service is subject to the terms and conditions of that monitoring provider. EvoSec acts as the installing agent only and is not responsible for the actions or response times of the monitoring centre.

Monitoring services operate on a monthly subscription basis and require a minimum notice period of 30 days to cancel.

9. CCTV & Privacy Compliance

The client is responsible for ensuring their CCTV installation complies with all applicable privacy laws including the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and relevant state legislation. This includes:

  • Displaying appropriate signage advising that CCTV is in operation
  • Not positioning cameras to capture areas beyond your property boundary without consent
  • Storing and handling recorded footage in accordance with privacy obligations
  • Providing access to footage to authorised parties when required by law

EvoSec will advise on best practice camera placement but the client bears responsibility for legal compliance.
